Yes you haven't peed until you P90X'ed. Today was up at 5 for the Chest & Back followed by Ab Ripper. The Chest & Back is push up.....pull ups.....push ups....pull ups. Everything is supersetted. Very little rest between sets. I kept my push ups at a max of 15 and pull ups at 10 just so I wouldn't get to sore. Various forms of push ups and various grips of pull ups are used. Whole thing is none stop for an hour and after an hour I'm cooked and I don't think I could have done another push up.

After an hour its time for Ab Ripper. Core strengthening to the max. 25 reps of 11 different moves. I hang with the first 3 moves then I can't keep up.

Tomorrow a long run is on the training schedule. It won't be to long maybe just 5 miles. Legs still sore from the Tom King.

Up at 6 yesterday to get ready for the sub 2. Michele and I leave the house and get about 10 minutes out and she asked "Your not going to wear your Garmin?" OH CRAP!!!! I've left it at home. Laid it on top of my wallet and phone so I wouldn't forget it. So I forgot all 3. I've not ran without the Garmin in forever. Michele let me wear her watch. Good thing I had long sleeves or I'll be damned if I'd worn a women's watch.

Race started and I just fell in behind Michele and David at their pace. Was doing good until they stopped for water at mile 3. I was going to stop also until some idiot at the last second cut me off, tripped me up, and I stumbled right past the stand so I kept going. From then on I was trying to do the math in my head.

Long story short, no problems, and I finished strong. Actually left some on the course.

Next plan is P90X but I'm including running days and have made my own training program.

I haven't had time to blog lately what with work, working out, and working on tiling the floors. All of the tiles are laid diagonally so there are a lot of difficult cuts. Some of the tiles have to be cut 2 or 3 times. It's tedious work and neither Michele or I have ever laid tile before.

Got in a 90 minute run today OUTSIDE. Suppose to run it yesterday but worked on the floor all day and hoped the weather would cooperate so I could do the run outside and not at the old folks indoor track again. Ran the first 60 minutes slow and then picked up to race pace for the last 30 minutes. That was tough. I've never done that before. That adds a new level of discipline to the run. Managed to get in 9 miles in the 90 minutes even though I stopped and took pics and played with the dogs during the slow part of the run. The pic to the left is an open lot in a neighborhood next to ours. It's called Creekside Manor but I've never seen a creek. So today I took off across the field in search of
the creek that I figured surely must be just beyond the trees. I

had to be careful where I stepped because those little piles of stuff are cow patties. Just before the trees is a mostly dried up pond, but there is no creek anywhere. I ran back into the trees and still no creek. Ran down the tree line to the road and still no creek.

Well there's no creek, but there is a cemetery. So we call this neighborhood Graveside Manor instead of Creedside Manor.

Running on the indoor track is loads of fun. People can be so inconsiderate I have to laugh. Fat people walk 3 and 4 side by side. One day a teenager was running in the opposite direction from everyone else. He ran 4-5 laps and quit. What he hell was he thinking. The outside lane is the running lane as posted on the rules sign, but walkers don't care or respect that. If someones shoe comes untied they go to the runner's lane to retie it. How dangerous is that? Duh, my shoe's untied. I'll go to the fast lane to retie it. People will stand in the runner's lane and have conversation with people that aren't on the track. I stomped and swerved past a lady 3 times the other day and she didn't get the message to "get the hell out of the way". One guy stood in the corner, which is in the outside lane, warming up by doing helicopters with his arms flinging side to side, and around and around. Walking is warming up for God's sake. When he finally began to walk he meandered along talking on his cell phone. In all there have been only 2 people on the track that I would consider actually getting a workout. Oh well, I'm glad its there, and I'll probably be back on it tomorrow.

Got in from work today still feeling crappy but knew I had to run. It was suppose to be a hill day but since I didn't run the scheduled 3 miles yesterday I thought I would do it today and run at half marathon race pace. Since I felt like crap I thought a power nap might help. Big mistake. I got less than a mile into the run and it began to rain. Nothing like 40 degrees, rain, and feeling like crap.

I was listening to a sports talk station today and the host asked the question, "If you had a man crush on an athlete who would it be?" He said that this is not a gay thing, not that there's anything wrong with that, but he wanted to know who men had the hots for. No female athlete answers allowed.

He can claim "this is not a gay thing" but this was too gay for me.

Men were actually calling in and telling this guy who they had man crushes on. There was Tom Brady, Lance Armstrong, and one guy even said Colt McCoy because he is so cute. Makes me want to puke.

I told a friend about the conversation. It went something like this.

I said, "There was this idiot host that wanted men to call in and tell him what athletes they have a man crush on."

He said, "That sounds gay as hell."

"I thought so too."

He asked, "Who do you like."

"I don't f*cking like male athletes like that I'm not gay. I have some athletes over the years that I liked but MAN CRUSH-----HELL NO!!!!"

"Who do you like?"

"Well, I like Bret Farve. In fact I think the numerical system should be changed in honor of him. You know, one, two, three, FARVE, five........"

"Who else do you like?"

"When I was a kid, Mickey Mantle, Joe Namath, Paul Hornung, and now Derek Jeter, and of course Bret Farve."

He says, "Interesting."

"What's so damn interesting?"

"Those are all good looking guys."

I was way too thirsty New Year's Eve and paid for it with a day on the couch New Year's Day. Good thing there was football on, but I missed my tempo run and had to do it on Friday.

It was a 45 minute tempo run and I wanted to stay under 9:00 pace for 25 minutes.

With about 2 minutes left with mile 4 it was time to start cool down so I guess I accidently ran negatives. When I got home I felt pretty good so I went upstairs for Ab Ripper, and stayed with most of it.

Today was suppose to be a 90 minute slow run. I left the house about 6:30 am. About 45 degrees and very little wind. Didn't go well and I'm coming down with some sort of crun. Also, I think I still had some fatigue from the Tempo run the day before, and then it began to rain. I was about 60 minutes in when the rain began so I started to run toward home with the idea of quiting if it was still raining when I got home. I ran fast enough so that it still was so I quit. I ran 6.7 miles in 7 minutes and 20 seconds. Boo me.

Tomorrow is a 3 mile run and weights. I don't know if I'll make it.

Hav e startted withe the vodica and toni c and thaking the day off from exsercise.

Did an easy pace 3 milr ystredeay, then one-half of the P90X Armys & Shouders, thne topped it offf withe The ab Ripper. Som sorness today in my wright knee, but on pain ar srnoeess know. Party at tha convalescent centre starts at 9;00. Cant wiat, in fact i wont.

Got to go ease tonite, got a 45 moment temper run tommorroww an anohter av rppier.
